About

Annika Andersson, known professionally as Annikaprana, is a Swedish contemporary artist based in Stockholm.

Working in a style she describes as Contemporary Atmospheric Realism, Annika creates original oil paintings inspired by the quiet strength of nature, the transformative power of light and the emotional connection between people and the natural world. Her artistic process begins intuitively with expressive abstract layers before realistic forms gradually emerge in oil paint. The result is a body of work where atmosphere, light and symbolism become as important as the subjects themselves.

The name Annikaprana reflects the Sanskrit word Prana — the life force that inspires renewal, creativity and personal growth. This philosophy lies at the heart of both her artistic practice and the emotional intention behind every painting.

Originally from the coastal town of Båstad in southern Sweden, Annika spent many years as an entrepreneur and creative professional before choosing to dedicate herself fully to painting. Since 2025 she has continued to refine her artistic practice through the Mastery Program at the internationally recognised Milan Art Institute.

Today she works between her Stockholm studio and her countryside studio overlooking Lake Mälaren, where she develops her growing body of original oil paintings. While her primary focus remains Fine Art, selected works are also available as museum-quality Fine Art Prints and carefully curated Artful Living collections, allowing her paintings to become part of everyday life while always remaining rooted in the original artwork.

Her work has been exhibited in Stockholm and is available to collectors worldwide through her online gallery at annikaprana.com.
