Annika Andersson — Annikaprana

Annika Andersson, known as Annikaprana, is an artist and entrepreneur based in Stockholm, Sweden. She grew up and lived in Båstad, a small coastal town known for tennis, beautiful nature and a fun nightlife. For many years she owned and operated a successful hair salon, Prana, where she expressed herself in color and form as a hairdresser. In 2012 she moved to Stockholm where she worked as a consultant for various companies and painted in her spare time. Annika recently decided to follow her passion and become a professional artist. Since spring 2025, she has been developing her skills through the Mastery Program at the internationally recognized Milan Art Institute.

Through creativity, she channels the life force – Prana – the energy that drives her to constantly challenge, renew and strengthen her inner self. Her paintings are a reflection of an inner journey; here she expresses thoughts and feelings in color and form, in dreamlike landscapes where realistic elements and cosmic worlds converge. The soulful expression is achieved through a process where each composition originates from intuitively chosen techniques in abstract layers, allowing the work to develop organically. Her motifs are defined in acrylic and completed with oil paint, which gives depth, brightness and richly saturated color.

In the winter she works in her cozy and homely studio in Stockholm, and for most of the year she has a summer studio in the inspiring setting of Lake Mälaren in the beautiful countryside, where she lives with her family. Her debut solo exhibition in Stockholm was a success, and she continues to grow her artistic practice with an enduring international presence.

Annikaprana offers original paintings and fine art prints available through the online gallery at annikaprana.com. Prints are produced on demand by Prodigi on Hahnemühle German Etching paper and shipped worldwide.
